Eharmony.com Day 6

November 11th, 2009

Day 6

I have read a lot of comments people have made about eharmony… whiners.

“There aren’t any people in my area” and “My matches aren’t all that good”…

My review experience to date has shown that eharmony.com has emailed me more matches, and I’ve had more requests and icebreakers sent my way, than most other dating services. (Even match.com hasn’t been able to send me more matches of people in my area in the same time frame!)

If you’re not having any luck at eharmony then you need to:

1. Work harder at a good profile and take yourself a little more seriously when answering the profile questions. Maybe ask a friend if your answers are fair.

2. Be sure that you have completed all profile sections, as a free member or a subscriber.

3. Uploaded at least one picture, and, most importantly,

4. Joined as a paying member. If you want a great ride you need to pay the fare. And eharmony does give refunds (although they don’t publicize it much) so you’re covered there as well. there is a reason why more than 250 couples get married every day by initially meeting on eharmony.com.

Join, message people, pay the membership fee (eve for a month at a time), “SecureCall” people ( a new feature that allows you to call other members through eharmony without disclosing any personal information like calling area, phone number, etc.) and be active. Even trees mature as they get older, what about you?

Eharmony Review Day 5

November 10th, 2009

Day 5

Today from eharmony I received 5 matches emailed to me. Apparently the compatibility match system is working overtime and getting reasonable matches out of the millions of registered members.

The matches are of a good quality, as far as I can tell. Click on one of these emails and you’ll see this:

Have you been emailed a match? This is what you'll see.

Have you been emailed a match? This is what you'll see.

All 5 matches I was emailed were within 200 kms of me, so that’s pretty good for being a free member for 5 days and having lots of possible matches ready for me to contact them. BUT, you have to be a subscribed  member to make contact.

Contact can be nmade in several ways:

- The eharmony guided communication system. this allows their compatibility match system more revealing communications as you progress through it to guide the conversation, allowing a well paced conversation, no awkward pauses and the guided conversations help reveal carefully information about yourself.

- Fast Track to Open Communication. Requesting this feature sends a message to the other person requesting the “Open Communication” between both of you. If the other person accepts the offer to meet you in “Open Communication” then you can send emails to each other through the anonymous message system.

- Send a free Icebreaker. And say Hi and leave the next step in their court whether to take the talk to a more personal level.

- Request a “Secure Call”. This allows you to phone your match through the anonymous secure phone call system that eharmony provides. “Secure Call” is an added service (at US$5.95 monthly) which makes it a great bargain but you have to be a subscribed member to add this feature to your subscription.

Your personality profile should be posted  by now… take a few minutes and read through it. I never knew I was so agreeable. Here is a section from my personality profile “Positive Responses others may Have Of You”: Because you join your curiosity to strong foundational ideas and beliefs and practical solutions to problems, people will trust your occasional explorations into new territories to be reliable, and not “something new for newness sake”.

Who knew I was so easy going? Certainly not my kids…LOL

That’s my review of eharmony for today, there will be another one tomorrow, then after that I will need some time to fully complete the profile that is needed to complete my review. Stay tuned. And, realy, join eharmony, There is great value in a membership here. The quality of possible matches, so far, can’t be beat and this is only Day 5 nof being a member!

Eharmony Review Day 4

November 9th, 2009

Day 4

Wow, time sure does fly by. Here I thought it would take me a long time to get my profile and picture posted (it’s not complete yet) and already I’ve received 5 possible matches to my profile and 4 of them are within 300 kms of where I live. Wow!

Of course, I still have a few pages of my eharmony profile to be complete and each “match” to my profile encourages me to complete the profile so I can “review my matches”. Needless to say you must purchase the premium service to make contact with these matches, but based on the quality of people that are already being matched to me, and the close proximity to my small town, I am impressed.

The questions of the profile are getting very in-depth. Here are a couple of questions from the introductory section, things that people should know about me (honesty counts big time here, folks!):

- What are the THREE things for which you are MOST thankful?
- What is the ONE thing that people DON’T notice about you right away that you WISH they WOULD?
- Describe one thing about yourself that only your best friends know.

If you can answer truthfully questions like that, then eharmony is the right online match service for you.

Good work eharmony!

Eharmony.com Review Day 3

November 8th, 2009

Day 3
I still have to complete my eharmony.com profile. I am at step 4 of an unknown number of steps, but I know from past reviews that a good eharmony.com profile takes about an hour to complete the basics. Take your time, and take breaks by searching for members. You won’t get any great results until you’ve completed your profile and compatibility questionnaire, but it makes the breaks worth while.

Also important is to have a completed basic profile for eharmony.com free communication weekends, a promotional period that allows even free, non-subscribing, members to make contact with their matches.

You may want to progress to completing the free personality profile, which I strongly suggest you do, you’ll have much better matches with this completed and you’ll even find out things about yourself that you may not be aware of.

Today I also received a message from eharmony, a “Photo Upload Nudge”, letting em know that someone has viewed my profile and wants me to upload a photo of myself. This is a “nice touch” message that other services just don’t do. Naturally I made sure that I uploaded a photo of myself (which is the final option when completing the basic profile questionnaire), the standard head and shoulders picture, complete with big, friendly smile. It only took ten minutes for my picture to be approved and posted to my profile by eharmony.

Join here and keep up with me as I continue with my review.

Eharmony Day 1 and Signup

November 7th, 2009

Day 1

This is the beginning of my eharmony.com review. Because of the rather long questionnaire parts of the eharmony membership profile, and free compatibility test, this review will span, most likely, several weeks.

I will reveal my login name once I have completed the review so that there is no opportunity for the profile to be removed before I am finished.

So far I have joined and completed the first page of the profile, it’s a quickly completed page and you can save your results and get back to your profile at any time, which is very convenient.
